CER Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Leeds. In this key role, you will provide vital support to students with a range of special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential in a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
– Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, both in the classroom and on a one-to-one basis
– Assist with learning activities, ensuring students can fully engage with the curriculum
– Support the teacher in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment
– Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress
– Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all students
– Contribute to the wider school community and support extracurricular activities

Requirements:
– Experience working with children, preferably in an SEN setting
– Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships with students
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills
– Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
– A commitment to supporting students with additional needs in their learning journey
