About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the National Curriculum for Year 2.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Assess and monitor students’ progress, providing regular feedback and support to ensure each child reaches their potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to support students’ learning and well-being.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through participation in school events, meetings, and professional development activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply.
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies for Year 2.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
