Teaching Assistant – 1:1 and Group Work

Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary
Hours per Week: 32.
Salary: £83.33 – £100 per day
Minimum Qualification: Level 2 in Working with Children or equivalent
Start Date: September 2024
Join a dedicated team at a warm and inclusive 1 form entry primary school in Crosby. We are currently seeking a Level 2 qualified Teaching Assistant to work with us on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting pupils who have complex special needs, and the roles are subject to SEN high funding. The role will either be to work either one-to-one with students or with small groups, helping to provide tailored support.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide individual support to pupils to enhance their learning and development
– Assist in planning and delivering engaging group activities and lessons
– Support the class teacher in implementing educational programs and strategies
– Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils
– Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
Qualifications and Skills:
– Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant is preferred
– Ability to support pupils with complex special needs
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
– Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
– Relevant qualifications in educational support or a related field is desirable
