Job Description:

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our network of support staff for schools in Sheffield. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the classroom teacher and helping students with their learning, development, and well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support to teachers, helping students with their learning.
  • Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
  • Offer 1:1 or small group support to students, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Help to maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Support students in their personal, social, and emotional development.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour when required.
  • Monitor and record student progress as directed by the class teacher.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting (essential).
  • A passion for supporting young people in their learning and development.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude towards learning.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
