CER Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a school in Leeds. In this important role, you will provide essential support to students with SEMH challenges, helping them navigate their learning experience and develop the skills they need to succeed academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:
– Provide one-to-one and group support to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs
– Assist students in managing their emotions and behaviour to engage positively with learning
– Work closely with teachers and other staff to implement behaviour plans and strategies
– Promote a safe and supportive environment that encourages personal growth and academic success
– Help monitor student progress and provide feedback on emotional and social development
– Participate in extracurricular activities and support the broader school community

**Requirements:**
– Experience working with children, particularly in an SEMH or behavioural support setting
– Empathy, patience, and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students
– Strong communication and teamwork skills
– Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
