CER Education are supporting a Skelmersdale based school with their September 2024 teaching intake.

Pay for this role is to scale so you can expect rates of pay between £155 and £245 per day, dependent on experience.

We are looking to appoint a full time Science teacher to cover a maternity leave at this thriving school. As part of the role you will be expected to plan and deliver lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics within Key Stage 3. Key Stage 4 may also combine the three Science’s or focus solely on your specialism should you have one.

As you will have fully responsibility for the planning, delivery and assessment of your classes, you will be continually supported by a highly experienced and stable Science faculty as well as an excellent Senior Leadership Team to ensure outstanding teaching and learning is demonstrated throughout this position.

The school itself plays a pivotal role within the heart of the community, sharing links with other schools, businesses and enterprises. It is easily accessible whether you travel from the wider Lancashire area, Merseyside or Greater Manchester.

CER Education welcomes all applicants with relevant UK based teaching experience (should you not have UK curriculum experience, you will not be considered). ideally you will have QTS or QTLS upon the successful completion of your PGCE or PGDE however if your experience and qualifcations are post-16 and this role is appealling to you, please do still apply.
