This role begins in June 2024 and continues until December 2024, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

Position Overview: Are you a dynamic and motivated Science Teacher eager to inspire and educate students? We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to deliver engaging and high-quality science education across Key Stages 3 and 4. This full-time, long-term contract provides an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of a supportive school community.

Our client school are keen to recieve applications from ECT’s as well as experienced teaching practitioners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging science lessons, fostering a love for the subject.
  • Use innovative teaching methods to cater to a variety of learning styles.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and development.
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices and resources.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the science curriculum and educational trends.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge in science, with the ability to teach across different scientific disciplines.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for teaching.
  • Previous experience teaching science at the secondary school level is highly desirable.
