CER is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in a mainstream primary school in Hartlepool.

A successful candidate will have worked as a teaching assistant in a school before, the role will to be to support Year 5 and 6 students. The ideal candidate would have supported with Booster sessions, 1:1 and have SAT’s experience but not essential.

The school are looking for enthusiastic, dynamic and resourceful individuals to join a dedicated and hardworking team of specialised support staff. They are looking for people who will enjoy being effective in supporting students with complex needs and who have an appreciation of the positive attitude required to encourage independence in their students.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be able to engage with children and enforce positive behaviour
• Have worked with children or adults with special needs before
• Be able to challenge children when they display negative behaviour
• Be a qualified level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant
