About the Role:

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a primary school setting? We are currently recruiting for a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support various year groups in a welcoming primary school in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team and make a significant impact on the educational journey of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons across various year groups.
  • Provide support to individual students and small groups to enhance their learning experience.
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and classroom resources.
  • Support the assessment and tracking of students’ progress.
  • Supervise and engage with students during break times and extracurricular activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to support the overall development of the students.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is essential.
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective support strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting various year groups and their unique needs.
