Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students with a variety of learning needs, helping them achieve their full potential. This role involves working closely with teachers to provide individualised support and promote an engaging, inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with learning activities, either individually or in small groups, to enhance their understanding of the curriculum.
  • Support students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) as required.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and confidence.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to monitor student progress and provide feedback.
  • Help prepare resources and materials to aid students’ learning experiences.
  • Support the social and emotional well-being of students by providing encouragement and guidance.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of SEND and experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and other staff members.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to student success.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
