Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary Cover

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £100 – £130 p/d DOE

CER are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) at one of our partnership primary schools in Rotherham, S64. It is a vibrant and inclusive school dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for all pupils. They are committed to fostering a love of learning and ensuring every child reaches their full potential.

The Role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team. The successful candidate will cover a temporary period and will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of our youngest pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the EYFS curriculum.
  • Support the class teacher in assessing and tracking pupil progress.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work with small groups and individual pupils to provide targeted support.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
  • Foster strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working within the EYFS framework.
  • Strong understanding of child development and early years pedagogy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
