CER are currently recruiting for an Educational Support Worker for an SEND School in Liverpool. The school caters for children aged 9 to 18 who demonstrate a wide range of challenging behaviour and can be very demanding of time, attention and emotion.

You will be responsible for providing professional support and development for all pupils across all age ranges. You will also be required to provide one to one support to pupils. You must be able to build well established relationships with both staff and pupils to ensure learning outcomes are met for all students.

The role is full time (Monday to Friday 8:30am till 3:30pm) and will be offered initially until Feb 2025 as it is covering a Maternity leave. The school have advised that they would be happy to consider part time applicants as long as they pocess the relevent experience.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students by facilitating and encouraging a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
  • To contribute to raising standards of student’s attainment and behaviour.
  • Share and support the schools responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
  • Promote school policies on behaviour.
  • Support and implement strategies to manage behaviour.
  • Employ strategies for behaviour management and report any problems.
  • Report pupil’s progress.

The role is to start in September 2024 and will continue until February 2025 with a view to continue longer for the right candidate.
