About Us:
We’re looking for an outstanding teacher with a proven track record of success and raising pupil outcomes. Do you have a strong background in Design Technology? If so, we want to hear from you!

Job Overview:
You will have a broad-based knowledge of materials and be reliable, organised, calm and flexible with an enthusiasm for design as well as being confident dealing with pupils. You will have a competent in a range of manufacturing techniques and have practical experience of using tools and machines including pillar drill and band saw. You must also be competent in using IT and ordering systems. Previous DT technician experience within a school or relevant industry experience is desirable.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons
• Subject knowledge
• Excellent communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes active learning.
• Work closely with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school’s development.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student achievement.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Recognised teaching qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Solid understanding of the national curriculum and its application in the classroom.
• Strong passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and adapt to various teaching scenarios.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
