Position Overview: Are you a creative and dynamic DT Teacher looking for a rewarding challenge? We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to inspire and engage students in the fascinating world of Design and Technology. This full-time, long-term contract runs from June 2024 to December 2024, with the possibility of a permanent role based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality DT lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a passion for design and innovation.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to a diverse range of learning styles.
- Inspire students to achieve their full potential through practical and theoretical lessons.
- Maintain a safe and organised workshop environment, ensuring all health and safety regulations are followed.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive teaching community.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to enhance the student experience.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge in Design and Technology, with a focus on practical skills and creative thinking.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for education.
- Experience teaching DT at secondary school level is highly desirable.
