Are you passionate about education and eager to support students in their learning journey? Join our dynamic team as a Cover Supervisor and work within secondary schools across Rotherham. At CER, we have multiple exclusively partnered schools and trusts in the area who are seeking multiple staff members to support their wider teaching teams.

The Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom to deliver pre-prepared lessons, ensuring students remain engaged and on task in the absence of their usual teacher. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in schools if you’re thinking of getting into teaching, develop classroom management skills, and inspire young minds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support students during teacher absences.
• Deliver pre-set lesson plans across a variety of subjects.
• Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
• Manage behaviour in line with school policies.

About You:

• Previous experience working with young people is essential (backgrounds such as sports coaching, peripatetic teaching, tutoring, performing arts etc are encouraged).
• Confident, adaptable, and enthusiastic.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to manage behaviour effectively in a classroom setting.

Requirements:

• Right to work in the UK.
• You will hold a degree in a relevant school subject (desirable).
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
• Availability during school hours (Monday to Friday).
