We are currently seeking a committed and versatile Cover Supervisor to work full-time across various secondary schools in the area.

Position Overview: We are looking for a reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisor to cover all secondary school subjects. This full-time role requires a motivated individual capable of managing classrooms effectively and delivering pre-prepared lesson plans. The ability to drive is essential, as occasional travel to different school sites within the local area will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain focused and engaged.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour.
• Support students with their learning and address any questions or concerns.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and report on student progress and behaviour.
• Uphold the school’s policies and ethos at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different classroom environments.
• A genuine interest in supporting students’ learning and development.
• Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle for occasional travel between school sites.
• Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (A-C grade) or equivalent; further qualifications in education are advantageous.
