This is a supportive sixth form team known for delivering exceptional careers guidance and facilitating strong achievements for their students. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed professional with a proven track record of collaborating with external stakeholders and offering valuable insights and analysis in careers. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across the Trust, engaging with a diverse range of employers, and supporting students from all backgrounds and across the age range 11 to 18.

A Level 6 CIAG qualification is required.

The exciting role of Careers and Admissions manager involves working effectively across several areas with key stakeholders in the school, Trust, and externally. The main purpose of the role is to provide our students with impartial and valuable careers and university guidance to ensure that the Academy is fully compliant with the Gatsby Benchmarks and that students refrain from being ‘not in education, employment or training’ (NEETS) when they leave school at the end of Year 11 or Year 13. This will involve meeting with students one to one to provide careers guidance, organising work experience for all students in the Sixth Form and developing the existing careers programme within the school across Y7-I2.

You will manage the Careers budget to maximise opportunities for our students through organising talks with employers, work experience, employment taster opportunities and workshops as well as working closely with teaching staff on inset days to embed careers guidance across the whole school. You will take a lead responsibility for managing the admissions process from KS4-5.

The candidate will be an integral part of our Sixth Form Team working closely with the Head of Sixth Form to ensure a high level of pastoral care and support to our Sixth Form Community. You will lead the UCS process, helping our students achieve places in Further Education. This will involve supporting teachers in writing high quality references, students in writing convincing personal statement, providing advice on applications and course selection, and working with ‘Aim Higher’ to support Pupil Premium students make informed decisions about high education.

We are also keen for the successful candidate to lead our apprenticeship programme which involves organising workshops, assessment days and building links with employers in the local area and London. Finally, the successful candidate will work closely with the Haberdashers’ Livery Company to ensure that the Trust’s extra-curricular opportunities are fully utilised by the academy. This includes a number of business-related work experiences and competitions.

The working hours are 8.AM to 4.PM, Monday to Friday (35 hours per week.) Term time plus inset five days. You must be available to work 3 of these days during August to support the A -Level Results Day, GCSE results day and 6th Form enrolment. You may be asked to stay later than you specified finish time on occasions to support the needs of the business.
