Pay rates: £162.31 – £223.62 per day

Our client school are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join their team on a full-time and long-term basis until the end of the academic year.

Position Overview: As a Science Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and engage students in biology, chemistry and physics. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on promoting enthusiasm for the subject and fostering a love of learning. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Science Teacher to contribute to our supportive and inclusive school community and make a positive impact on the lives of our students.

Our client school are also keen to hear from Early Career Teachers who are seeking to forge their career within Secondary Education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive science lessons that are in line with the national curriculum and cater to the needs of all students.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to facilitate active learning and promote student engagement, such as practical demonstrations and workshops.
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support their academic development.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the science curriculum.
  • Participate in school events, parents’ evenings, and extracurricular activities as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
  • Previous experience teaching science at the secondary level is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
