CER is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in a mainstream primary school in Bishop Auckland. The role will be to start September 2024 – ASAP , Full time working with students in Nursery and Reception – and Key Stage 1.

A successful candidate will have worked as a teaching assistant in a school before, Have worked with children in EYFS – Nursery or Reception. Ideally worked with students who have additional SEND needs but not essential.

The school are looking for enthusiastic, dynamic and resourceful individuals to join a dedicated and hardworking team. They are looking for people who will enjoy being effective in supporting students with additional needs and who have an appreciation of the positive attitude required to encourage independence in their students.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be able to engage with children and enforce positive behaviour
• Have worked with children with special needs before
• Be able to challenge children when they display negative behaviour
• Be a qualified level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant
