CER Education is looking for a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in Leeds, working with students who have PMLD and autism. This full-time role offers an opportunity to provide essential support to students with complex needs, ensuring they can access learning in a caring and inclusive environment.
Our partner school in Leeds is dedicated to delivering tailored learning experiences for students with PMLD and autism, focusing on developing communication, life skills, and emotional well-being. As an SEN TA, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to offer personalised assistance that helps students thrive both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide personalised one-to-one and small group support to students with PMLD and autism, helping them engage in learning and development activities
* Modify learning resources and activities to cater to individual student needs
* Work alongside teachers and specialists to implement and track education plans
* Assist with sensory and therapeutic activities to support physical, social, and emotional development
* Maintain a nurturing and positive learning environment, fostering trust and emotional well-being
* Support students’ physical and medical needs, including mobility assistance, personal care, and behaviour management

Requirements:
* Experience working with children with PMLD, autism, or in a similar SEN setting
* Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills, with the ability to connect with students and support their individual needs
* Ability to collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a positive learning environment
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
