PE Teacher

Skelmersdale, Lancashire
£130 - £199 per day
Full Time

CER Education are supporting one of our Skelmersdale based secondary schools who are looking to appoint a male Physical Education teacher from January 2024 until at least July 2024 on a full time basis.

For this particular vacancy, there is the possibility of the role becoming permanent from September 2024.

This position has a timetable heavily weighted to KS3 PE with core PE being the only KS4 teaching and learning. You will be expected to be involved with school sport teams and the wider extra curricular timetable the school offers to all students during and after school. There will be no part time option with this position.

As this role is on a longer term basis with planning and assessment responsibilities, you will be paid to scale on the Main Teaching Pay Scale. You can therefore expect rates of pay between £130 and £199 per day.

As a school they have an outstanding senior leadership team with an experienced and stable PE department who will be there to provide you with continued support and guidance. They are a school at the heart of the local community with superb provision academically and socially for their students. We have always received excellent feedback from a variety of teaching staff who have taught at this school on a longer term basis with many becoming permanent members of staff.

You will ideally have QTS, QTLS or a relevant teaching qualification that allows you to teach mainstream secondary school students.

If you already work for another education agency, you will qualify for a £300 bonus purely for securing this role with CER.

If you have any further questions about this position or would like a more informal chat, please contact Jordan on 0151 242 6051. You can also apply for this role by providing your most up to date CV in response to this advert.
