Job Role: Nursing Lecturer

Location: Barnet

Pay: £23.50 – £26.80 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: 0.2 FTE, 7.2 hours per week – 0.6 FTE, 21 hours per week

CER is looking for a Nursing Teacher with significant Nursing experience to deliver the healthcare aspect of the Healthcare T Level Programme at our partnership college.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering the healthcare aspect of the Healthcare T Level Programme, teaching on T Levels and other programs, and planning/delivering associated practical work.
  • Maintaining records, tracking student progress, contributing to subject teams, and liaising with staff/management.
  • Acting as a personal tutor (if required), undertaking staff development, and participating in the College Appraisal Scheme.
  • Using new learning technologies and adhering to College policies (Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, etc.).

The ideal candidate MUST have:

  • Significant Nursing experience.
  • Relevant degree (ideally with a physics background).
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent desirable).
  • Commitment to diverse student groups.
  • Experience in curriculum development, T Levels/BTEC, and/or the healthcare sector (desirable).
  • Strong teaching, administrative, IT, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Classroom management skills (desirable).
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and under pressure.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Commitment to TEL strategies, educational values, equality, and teamwork.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Two satisfactory professional references.
  • A current Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
