Full-Time Music Teacher (Supply Contract)

Location: Secondary School, North Nottinghamshire
Start Date: September 2024
Contract: Rolling, Full-Time

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Music Teacher to join our secondary school in North Nottinghamshire on a full-time supply basis starting in September 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire and nurture students’ musical talents across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality music lessons, fostering a love for music and encouraging students to develop their skills.
  • Plan and prepare engaging lessons that cater to a range of abilities, ensuring all students make progress.
  • Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular music activities, including organising and supporting school performances and music clubs.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in departmental meetings to maintain a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Music at the secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach across different musical genres and instruments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work within a supply role, contributing to the school’s broader objectives.
