Role Overview: CER are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join one of our partnership schools in Sheffield, S5. The successful candidate will support the teaching and learning of students, working closely with teachers to provide high-quality education and care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the class teacher.
  • Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities.
  • Assist class teachers with maintaining student records.
  • Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
  • Prepare and present displays of students’ work.
  • Assist with the planning of learning activities.
  • Contribute to the management of pupil behaviour, encouraging positive behaviour in line with school policies.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to the ethos and values of the school.
