Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are looking for an experienced HLTA to join a large Secondary School in Skelmersdale, until the end of the school year. We are looking for a candidate with strong behaviour management skills as the role will be to support and oversee groups of children with challenging behaviours.

The school is located in the heart of Skelmersdale and is commutable from Preston, Wigan, Liverpool or Sefton as it is close to two major motorways. The school has fantastic staff and a very strong leadership team to support you in your role. This role is to start after the Easter break and the successful candidate must have experience in a UK Secondary School and be confident managing challening behaviour.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working in a UK Secondary School
• Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident.
• At least 6 months school based experience of working in a school-based setting.
• Two suitable references covering the last 2 years.
• A current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
• Team Teach Training.
