Job Opportunity: Learning Support Assistant

Location: Doncaster

Role: Full time and Part time roles available

We are seeking a caring and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our supportive environment and make a difference in the lives of young people with additional needs. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to provide essential support and encouragement to students in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with a range of additional needs, including but not limited to autism, learning disabilities, and sensory impairments.
  • Assist students with accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
  • Work closely with teachers and therapists to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to ensure the holistic well-being of students.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a special educational needs setting, preferably with young people.
  • Understanding of different additional needs and strategies to support students effectively.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with young people with diverse abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications or willingness to undergo training in special educational needs support.
