Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our team on a full-time, long-term contract until the summer. As a valued member of schools faculty, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students across various scientific disciplines, shaping the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated science lessons in accordance with the national curriculum, catering to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Instil a passion for science through hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and interactive activities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated to explore and inquire about the wonders of the natural world.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that integrate science with other subject areas.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, field trips, and science-related events to enrich the learning experience beyond the classroom.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Specialisation in Science or a related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching science at the secondary level.
  • Sound knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to promoting a culture of inquiry, critical thinking, and scientific literacy among students.
